No, for GST registration you don’t need any security deposit or guarantee in India. You can just directly go and register for GST registration.
Earlier, for VAT registration one is required to place FD with the sales tax department to get the registration. But now the requirement has been removed. You don’t need any FD or guarantee.
Here are few more details about GST registration:
1. Only four documents are required under GST i.e. Photograph, PAN card, Registration certificate, Bank statement.
2. It takes only 3 to 7 seven working days for GST registration.
3. After GST registration, you need to file three monthly returns and upload each and every invoice online.
