GST CMP – 01 form is required by the provisionally registered assessee to file their intimation to the government that they are willing to pay tax under the composition scheme/levy.
What is provisionally registered, assessee?
Provisionally registered assessee are those people who had migrated themselves from the existing laws of VAT, sales tax, excise to the new law i.e. GST and hence, if they want to pay tax under composition scheme, then they need to file intimation in the form GST CMP – 01.
When is this form filed?
This form is filed within 30 days from the date on which the option for composition levy is exercised.
